In the past couple of days, we have experienced an unusual amount of rain, even to the point of closing down a major airport in Fort Lauderdale.
During this event, some residents had water coming into their units.
There is no guarantee that the roof was the cause of the problem, but a review is being carried out. The Association has visited the units that made reports. Gutters were cleaned today to abort additional problems.
Presently, the Board is working on a plan to replace the existing roof with an adequate roof. This involves planning and coordinating proposals.
It is very important that when events such as these occur, each unit owner immediately notify their insurance company. The Association is only responsible
for replacing dry walls in the Units. Therefore, it is important that you contact your insurance company. They may also authorize you to obtain restoration companies to dry and dehumidify your units.
Please take all the necessary action you need to restore your units.
